Although the more advanced meaning of flower colors had the meaning changing between both flowers and colors there are some general flower rules when it comes to flower colors. The thing though is that all of these colors mean good things and most of them are about love. Red, pink and blue flowers mean that you love the receiver, although all in a slightly different way. Yellow and orange flowers are more about friendship and the light in your life, the brighter the colors the brighter you think the light of the receiver is. Purple flowers are about wishing the other person the best and healthiest life they could ever get while white flowers represent chastity and purity, a very common flower color for weddings. Remember though that these general color rules are not exact and combined with a special kind of flower the result can be the opposite, so be prepared.
